Options
:: Setup :: Start Up :: Wait :: Command Line :: Return Codes
The
Communications Link program supports several Command Line Options. Options entered on the
command line over ride options in the INI file. The options are not case sensitive and can
be in any order:
-I File Name |
Specifies the name of the INI
file |
-F # |
Frequency between retries in
seconds |
-R # |
Specifies the number of times
to retry a connection |
-S |
Setup Defines how
communications link behaves |
-W |
Wait on outbound call |
-K |
Kill currently running CommLink |
Example:
Start Commlink for Connection with 3
retries 30 seconds apart using INI file C:\Some Dir\Setup.ini
Example:
Start CommLink using the options
specified in the setup.ini file
-I option can be used alone or with any
of the other options. If the I option is not specified the default file name used is
CommLink.Ini. If CommLink.ini is found in the same folder as the
executable it will be read to determine the setup. If CommLink.ini is not
found the default values will be used. If the R, F, or W option(s) are
specified on the command line, values set in the INI file are ignored.
-R # Specifies the number of times to
retry a failed connection. To retry the connection 3 times specify R 3. If you use
the R option without the F option the frequency of retries defaults to 30
seconds.
-F # indicates the frequency in seconds
between retries. To wait 30 seconds between retries use F 30. If you use the F
option without the R option the retries defaults to 3.
-S Displays the setup screen and does
not attempt a connection or wait for a session.
-W Loads the kernel and waits for a
successful session.
-K If CommLink is already running this
will end CommLink
